Richard’s new competition truck is nearing completion…
The truck is based on the Whitbread designed 100 inch space frame challenge truck. And is running a 4.2 Mega-Squirted V8 engine and 35” Super Swamper tyres.
Over the last couple of years we have been building and developing this beast into a competitive truck to take on challenge events in the UK and Europe.
We have modified and fabricated many of the new additions to the truck including: A custom rear mounted cooling system. Front, rear and center winch trays. Body, Floor and Roof panels. Custom wiring loom and dashboard controls.
Shakedown for the truck was last month at Kirton Off-road Centre, where we finished 3rd in the King of the Valleys qualifier event.
Organised by the All Wheel Drive Club and inspired by the legendary Griffin King of the Hammers, King of the Valleys is the UK’s ultimate 4×4 off-road endurance challenge.
The main event will be held at Walters Arena in Wales 9-11th August.
